Spring has sprung ...

My dad used to enjoy reciting this silly poem:

Spring has sprung
The grass has riz
I wonder where the birdies is ?

The birds is on the wing.

Oh -- that's absurd !
The wing is on the bird !

Crocii in front of Walker's Feeds.
Could spring really be here ?

NOTE: it's more fun if you recite it with a Bronx accent.  i.e. "absoyd", "boyd"

  1. I think our whole family recited that one! And yes, with a Bronx accent to boot. I think I found a hint of green in my front flower bed last night. It's either the Iris or the Tulips poking out. Is Spring really really here???
Forecast more snow by Thursday here.

  2. Hey, I saw those in front of Walker's Feed on Sunday while looking for ducks (there weren't many).

  3. ITC - hope your hint of green survived the snow.

That's exactly where they were Amy-Lynn.

  5. and Kathy do you remember ...

    Birdie, birdie in the sky
You drop whitewash in my eye
    But I don't fret, and I don't cry
I'm just glad that cows don't fly
