At the beach.

One damp day last week I took Wendy and Trey for a walk along the water's edge near Shore Road.

The fine rain had stopped, but droplets still clung to the grass,

and collected on the leaves of sea side plants, and magically just sat there.

My efforts to capture these images were often interrupted by Trey.

"Throw my ball.  Throw my ball.  Throw my ball".

 Dogs have no artistic appreciation.

  1. I love these shots. It's always worth looking, even on a dreary old day. I particularly like the 'dogs-paws' are they are rare breed of seaside flora?

PS I'll be over very, very soon, so save a spot on the beach for me!

  3. I know I don't need to tell you this, but a dog's got to do what a dog's got to do, no matter what treasures lie at its feet.

  4. You inspire me, cuz. Now that I have the time, I will be dusting off the ol' camera and look for the simple everyday shots you so energetically capture.

  5. I love water droplets. You captured them most magnificently, Sybil, before that puppy created squashed modern art droplets with his wild & crazy paws.

  6. The physics of nature - in this case surface tension - sometimes offers a beauty all its own.

As for dogs, you cant expect them to forget overnight what is bred into them over decades.

So nice to see great photos of coastal maritime weather at its finest!
