"Kittehs" !

I'm a sucker for kittens.   But to be fair, who isn't ?

All I did was offer to clean the litter boxes, and spend some time with the new kittens at the cat-rescue-lady's house down the street.

Damned if I didn't adopt two of them.

May I introduce you to sisters,  Clara (on top) and Charlotte.

The dogs were incredulous at the new arrivals.

"Make the kittie move.  We want to go downstairs."

"Kittehs" can be scarey !

  1. Gee Sybil I am so glad that you could not resist those two beauties. Perfect callies and sisters to boot. There isn't anything better.

Do you still have your other cat or cats? I think it is you that has/had a cat or two.

I hope the dogs are trustworthy but I don't think you would risk a cat's life if the dogs were/are not safe with small animals.

Looking forward to photos of those purrcats. Lots of them in fact.:-)

    1. The kittens are rocketing around the house right now chasing each other.

The dogs are wonderful with the kittens.

I still have Roswell (my Sphynx) and Butters (my BIG BIG cat).
They are pretty patient with the kittens, but are also teaching them manners. Kittens can be cheekie !

  2. Oh, oh, oh, Clara & Charlotte are the sweetest little things I've seen all day! And Wendy & Trey look positively baffled. :) Congratulations to your growing family! (I hope there will be lots of pictures...)

    1. Wendy and Trey are "careful" with the kittens. When they first arrived the kittens were pretty scared of the dogs, and would occasionally, unexpectedly, WHACK the dogs for no reason. This resulted in the dogs giving them a wide berth.

But that was just two weeks ago and all is well now.

  3. oh they're too cute. Our cat "honeybun" had the same lovely coloring.

I think its good that you got two kittens so they won't be lonely. It'll be interesting to see whether they each chose a dog to befriend ...

Hope you have a wonderful summer Sybil. I'm taking a leave from blogging for a while. I may pop in now and again...

  6. The photos don't begin to show how soft these kittens are. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but only that. A thousand cuddles are best experienced in person.
