  1. If your letter writing campaign works, let me know. We are due cold rain this evening, while everyone else in the state gets snow. I guess I should be thankful for that bit of luck.

    1. Dear Les, Below freezing here. No snow but ground is solid as rock. I just want to dig in the dirt. Is that too much to ask ?

  2. Frozen ground sounds just too cold for me. Spring is having hell getting to central Texas, as well. The weather is back and forth. Lots of fruit trees have blossomed but I',m afraid a late freeze will probab;y get the young buds or fruit.

Your photos are great. Very nice to convey spring from bygone days.

    1. Browsing through those old photos from springs past is my therapy

I am planning on putting a "hit" out on ol' man winter. Don't stand too close to him.

  3. Oh dear, I can't believe Old Man Winter is *still* hanging around, when so many people are longing for the young maiden of spring to come for a visit. I too hope your letter writing works!

    1. It's not just you Gerry. We ALL must have said ... or done something wrong. Personally, I blame MONSANTO for everything bad.

  7. Has Spring answered your prayer in the last few days ? Wish I could send you some of my sun of the past weeks, flowers too but... early this morning Spring left, don't ask me where. Instead storm and cold came in full force. Lovely pictures of a Spring of earlier times !

    1. Spring is still a big tease. A couple of degrees above zero today, but then the temperature dropped and I had to pull out the ear muffs. At least I don't live in New Brunswick (the next province over). They have a LOT of snow and more on the way ...

      C'mon spring. Give us a break !

  8. Sybil, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I can't bring you spring any sooner that it will get there on its own. The good news is that you have won one of the prizes in my Winter Walk-Off, and if you send me your mailing address, I will send you some swag. My email is morehiways@cox.net.
