I broke my wrist just walking on the ice, the first winter we arrived in Nova Scotia. I prefer skiing, at least the snow is usually softer to land on.Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17176811352267751510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7221281884226879638.post-80706300760828871992012-02-18T12:53:05.832-04:002012-02-18T12:53:05.832-04:00Linda, I called it ankle "flop over". Now the skates have rigid sides that make that impossible ... we were born too soon ... ;-)Sybilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13944601364218561984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7221281884226879638.post-26568495213876126952012-02-16T20:26:32.977-04:002012-02-16T20:26:32.977-04:00Lovely photos! I loved the idea of it, soaring along over the ice with music in my head, spinning, pirrouetting....But alas, my ankles always caved in and I never got much beyond forward and backward skating. I've often wondered how it would go if I tried again. Maybe the skates are better now...like skis are so much better?Lindahttp://rangewriter.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7221281884226879638.post-22189635867962334802012-02-15T20:17:39.235-04:002012-02-15T20:17:39.235-04:00Lynne, Skating just ain't worth it at this poi...Lynne, Skating just ain't worth it at this point. Imagine that, a Prairie kid not skating!

ITC-1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7221281884226879638.post-73367855121925807622012-02-15T06:47:20.197-04:002012-02-15T06:47:20.197-04:00Sybil, it looks lovely.
