Beauty is in the eye ...

This is an interesting area.  Driving down the shore road in Eastern Passage I pass a field of huge drum-like oil storage units, a refinery, a dock where an oil derrick is being worked on and a shipping receiving  dock with parking lots that can accommodate 100,000 new cars .

The cars come off the freighters covered in some sort of white wrapping with only the windshield and side windows uncovered.  They are driven from the parking lots to waiting multi-level train cars or transport trucks.

The spires of the oil refinery are covered with twinkling lights and occasionally the highest stacks spout organge flame.

Oddly enough I find a certain beauty in all of these things.  The shapes, the peeling rust, the lit towers of the refinery, the rows of cars.
