Potting tips

Container gardening is can be done on your deck using re-purposed items found at the curb on garbage day.

It is important to ensure the container is big enough for the potted item when it is fully grown.

As a kitten, this cat probably fit very nicely in its container.
But now it's full grown, it's obviously become "pot bound", and needs to be moved to a larger pot.

This is a common mistake made by new cat-gardeners.

And can be quite frustrating for the cat.

  3. The kitty in the pot is priceless. Leave it to a cat to do something like that.

  5. What a great way to put pots on a fence! The pots on my patio are all badly overdue for repotting. I put off doing it last summer and winter, then I came up with the perfect excuse "I'm too busy. I'll do it when I come back from Spain." and now? well I have no excuse ...

  6. Thanks Karma, I don't mind at all. I'm flattered.

Bonnie, the lavender in the pot was a bit smushed.

You said it Gerry. Very intensive.

Rosie, you need time to recover from your marvellous adventure in Spain.

VV -- and never plant them upside-down.

  7. How cute. She probably thought it was catnip she (or he!) was camping on. Potted Cat Nap perhaps??
