He's a big cat, more than double Roswell's seven pounds. But despite their obvious differences, he and Roswell are best buds, with the latter often snuggling up to him like a furry, heating pad.
As for Butters' friendly nature -- the neighbour's cat would beg to disagree. Butters has been known wander over the back fence to beat him up in his own back yard.
For a big cat, it's amazing the tight spots that Butters squeezes himself into. Unfortunately there was a plant already in the pot.
Though he is sweet and gentle, Butters does not like to be picked up and held. Our suspicion is that as a tiny kitten living on the street he'd had his share of being grabbed, picked up and subsequently dropped by children.
But give him a box, and he's in kitty heaven.
THE END !
I just love Butters! He's such a good sort. Lovely pics Sybs,
ReplyDeleteLove Vicky xxxx
And he's so darn photogenic Lynne.
DeleteButters is a big boy. He would make close to three of my Sadie dog. It is too bad that he doesn't like to be held. Looking at his pictures, I would like to cuddle him, and Roswell too. I like the last picture. What an amazing position. Balancing on the backbone...ouch.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm lying on the bed Bonnie, he'll let me drape an arm over him. But if I pick him up he wiggles and pushes away. I wish I could cuddle him too but he's definitely NOT a lap-cat.
DeleteBeautiful kitty - you have some great pictures here.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karma.
DeleteI still can't imagine having a bald cat. You are teaching me to expand my world, Sybil! By the way, I have snowflakes all over the floor...but a happy heart...thank you.
ReplyDelete"What was she thinking ?"
DeleteWhat WAS she thinking? LOL!
DeleteShe was thinking it would make friends laugh, or smile, or get some exercise bending over ...
DeleteI really enjoy reading about Butters the cat that you rescued from the street. He is a beauty and so is Roswell. Cats are like dogs- they all have a personality. We just have to let their true nature shine through.
ReplyDeleteOh, he is a real character.
DeleteButters a beautiful fellow (and I like his name)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - especially the one of the two cats sleeping together. First time I've ever seen cats cuddling.
Rosie, my daughter named him after a character in South Park.
DeleteRoswell is quite the cuddler. They are such a pair !
