Thankful ...

I'm feeling the urge to blog, but not sure what about.  It's Winter so already I'm feeling stir-crazy and hating the cold, even though today is above freezing, I can feel negative thoughts creeping into my bones.

So, in a "Pollyanna"-like effort to see my glass as half full while studiously not dwelling on the negative crap that's happened in the last month (quilled-dog, dinged car, burst frozen pipe):  I present to you ...

A thankful post ...

I'm thankful for family and friends near and far, met and un-met, who help me through the rough times.

Received from a blogger friend who I've never met.

I am grateful for the companion animals in my life who give me comfort and make me smile,

and force me to go outside, even when I don't really feel like it.

I am thankful that I inherited my parents' off-beat sense of humour,

and that my Dad taught me to really look through that camera lens and throw out the bad photographs.

A Funnel Web Spider lives here.
My Mom used to embarrass the hell outta me talking to strangers in shopping lines and now I do it too with wild abandon.  I mean if you see the person ahead of you in line buying something you've never eaten and don't know how to cook, how else will you learn except by asking ?   which has led to some marvellous conversations.  Thanks Mom.

I am grateful that I was raised in a loving, accepting home, where hot food grew cold at the expense of rowsing dinner conversations.

It's not what you think.  But would it matter if it was ?
I am thankful that the support of family and friends helps keep me upright .

Wishing you love and support as you meet the daily challenges of your life, and the spirit to see that damn half empty glass is really half full.

BTW, those two dudes kissing ?  That's my brother and his son.
