A early Christmas Gift for Trey.

Trey used to have a  sweet, little bed.   In fact, Trey had a succession of sweet, little beds.

He loved his beds, even after he grew too big for them

He was happy if even only part of him fit in it.

But Trey also loved sucking on pillows and when his sucky pillow wasn't handy, he'd suck on his bed.

Sometimes he'd get carried away and give his bed a shake.  Then he'd give it another shake.  One day he discovered a hole in his bed.  Ooooooooooo STUFFING !

Trey and Sooki at the scene of the crime.

And so for a long time, Trey was without a bed.

But the other day I found small dog beds on sale for $5.99.

Oh he was so happy when I gave it to him.   He carried it around, then lay on it and sucked its soft stuffed edge, then he fell asleep.

But now I'm gonna need to buy a second bed,

and maybe even a third.

Oh wait-- Trey has just taken matters into his own hands ... er ... teeth.

Note:  No bald cats were harmed in the posting of this blog.

  1. That is too cute how Trey fits himself into those little beds - especially since he does not strike me as a particularly little dog!

  2. Karma, I always think of Trey as being big but he is under 50 pounds. He has a huge personality, that's for sure. I had to grab my camera quickly to get the shots of him gingerly tipping Roswell out of the bed. It was very funny.

  3. That little bald...creature?...is a cat? I suppose we've heard about him before, have we? Yes, we probably have. Btw, Trey is adorable. Cutest lil (big) dog on the planet, especially in relations to his bed.

    1. Trey is such a BIG character Kathy. Yep, Roswell is bald. He's a Sphynx cat. They are rather dog-like in their behaviour. i.e. he comes when called.

    2. I love it! Trey is one funny boy. Good for Roswell for playing along!

    3. Not sure how much Roswell was playing along. Cats can be a bit thick. Someone starts pulling on your bed you lean so you don't come tumbling out the back. Cats don't seem to get that ...

    1. I'd actually gotten the post up when I saw Trey dragging the bed with Roswell in it. I quickly snapped off a couple of shots and added them. It was so funny, coz Trey was almost scared to pull on the bed and tipped Roswell out ever-so-gently.

  5. Loved all the pics. All your pets are healthy and beautiful. Are you the blogger that moved so that you could keep the pit bull. Do you trust him completely with your cat?

  6. Hi Yvonne, thanks for stopping by. Yes, I trust Trey totally with my cats.

Roswell can be sorta irritating. He'll knead the dogs, doing that clawing, pumping motion and his claws can hurt. When he does this to Trey, Trey will growl at him to stop. Roswell doesn't stop but keeps up the clawing, clawing. Growling louder now. Teeth showing. Roswell doesn't stop. Eventually Trey just stands up and walks away. That cat is really asking for a nip -- but Trey would NEVER do that to his cat.

Dogs are dogs Yvonne and it depends on what they're exposed to and how they're treated. "Pitties" can be some of the most loving dogs around.

    1. Sorry Yvonne, I didn't answer your question, I am the blogger that moved to keep a pit bull ...

    2. Thank you. Your animals are so healthy looking. I am so glad that you did not give up that beautiful pit. Yes, I know, pits that have been properly socialized from a young age do very well with other pets- cats and dogs. I have a post on my blog about fostering a pit bull puppy. The post is pretty long and I did not want to give up that puppy but I have 7 dogs and a "few" cats. This puppy was so smart and so pretty. I am still mad that I had to part with him. He was thrust on me and I just could not say no to fostering him.

I have been looking in on your blog but I don't think that I had subscribed- I think I just did.I am so busy with my pets and my blog that I am meeting myself coming and going.

I like the colors of your blog very much. Wish that I could get this maroonish-brownish color on mine.

Thanks for taking the time to give me a nice reply in the first reply.

      Regards,
      Yvonne

  11. I would imagine that a bald cat in Canada stays in a constant state of anxiety worrying that it will get shut out of the house or that the heat might go out.

One of our cat's also kneads the dogs, but a firm word and it stops. Other than that they get along well, unless of course the cats choose to run in front of the dogs, then let the chase begin.

  12. Les, Roswell NEVER goes out. He's not even tempted.

Trey HATES being kneaded AND walked on. He tries to act like a scary pit bull, and growls and even bares his teeth sometimes, but the cats are oblivious and ignore him. He's all bluff and they know it.

  13. Hilarious post. I laughed out loud at every picture and each one of your comments. You're really funny Sybil.

How on earth did Trey fit into some of those beds?
our MontyCarlo has a blankie that he drags around and using it for humping on... (It's too private to put that in my blog.)

    1. Rosie, sorry for not replying sooner. Trey is so very funny. Right now Roswell is in Trey's bed so he's lying with his head on MY pillow ! I had a dog once that had a favourite humping pillow ...

    2. My cat thinks she is the boss . . . My blue Orca ball is my favourite toy. It's just so versatile - I can play soccer on my own, or my humans can through the ball for me, or I can chew on my ball, or sleep with it . . .I also love little humans - they're just my size. Am very, very gentle with them.

    3. Oh I love little humans too ! But they get me very excited ... I mean they squeak like toys ...
