It was warm, and the leaves were unfurling in the magical lime greens of spring.
A dog had generously provided this feeder for the squirrels he loves to chase. |

We watched the ducks.
And Wendy went for a swim.
Since I had not brought a ball, Wendy took the liberty of generously finding a stick for me. She dwells under the erroneous impression that I love throwing sticks.
The dreaded departure sign.
Sometimes it's nice to have some one-on-one time with one of your "kids".
Lovely walk Sybs, thanks for taking us with you. Thank you too Wendy.Lovely pictures of the ducks xxxxx V
ReplyDeleteThe pic of the ducks is thanks to my new-to-me camera. Really happy with the close ups I'm getting.
DeleteSo nice to have one-on-one time with the poochies. Thanks for the walk.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming along cuz. I look forward to meeting your lil' guy in the fall.
DeleteI started laughing so hard about the bum sniffer and sniffee comments in your first paragraph--especially the part about the comfort zone that I probably didn't give the rest of your walk proper attention. You are sooooo funny!
ReplyDeleteand because you weren't paying proper attention, you tripped on that root in the path. Lucky I grabbed your arm before you did a "face plant".
DeleteWild hysterical laughter! Ooops, I'm probably going to trip again.
DeleteYou know, I think your opening describing the "bum sniffing comfort level" would likely apply to my dogs too - Teddy always needs to be number one dog on the totem pole so I don't know how well he'd do in such a social situation. Daphne, on the other hand, I feel would be much more comfortable with the whole idea. What a nice place to be able to take your dogs without a leash!
ReplyDeleteHalifax is a very enlightened city. Lots of off-leash dog parks and no B.S.L. (Breed Specific Legislation).
DeleteI'm with Trey. I don't care for all that bum sniffing. I love the shot of the ducks!
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, me neither.
DeleteI'm so pleased with my new-to-me camera. It's letting me zoom in and get shots I missed before.
I love the duck photo, too! Wendy is one lucky girl to have such a lovely wooded dog park where she can spend quality time with you. But did she ever get to sniff any bums? :)
ReplyDeleteRest assured, many, many bums were sniffed.
