More weather ...

Wow. We've sure had a lot of weather lately.

I guess that's a silly thing to say.

I mean we have weather every day.

It's just that the weather we've had lately has been ... BIG.

What is the point of shovelling when the wind is blowing so hard ?

BIG COLD.  Followed by BIG SNOW and BIG WIND.

Did I mention the BIG SNOW?

This is Kait's car which she foolishly left parked on the road.

Our driveway needed digging out too of course.  We shovelled an area just wide enough for the car to get through.

Then yesterday the cold snap finally broke and I was able to venture into the woods with the dogs,

and it was beautiful.

The forecast for tomorrow calls for lots of rain with abnormally mild temperatures (8-12C).

What's the weather been like in your neck of the woods ?

OK. I admit it. Snow can be pretty.

And today it was particularly lovely as the sun was shining brightly through the frost that hung on the branches.

I took Wendy and Trey to an unfinished road over-looking the ocean, near Flandrum Hill, for a run.

Wendy and Trey wait to be told they can leave the car.

We walked a kilometer down the road.  Though I'd bundled up, and was wearing mitts over my gloves, my hands got very cold every time I took my little camera out of my pocket to take pictures.  Because it looked so sunny, I'd underestimated how cold it was.  How cold was it ?   -6 C, but it felt more like  - 13 C with the wind chill factored in.  Brrrr.

After we hoofed it back to the car, I drove around the area to check out the scenery from a warmer vantage point.

Wasn't it lovely ?

One small word of advice -- don't eat the yellow snow.
